6.15 chuang tzu
a unique synchronicity - as the parcel containing the hempen taoist vestment was handed to the mail carrier to be shipped out, they delivered this book - chuang tzu... i'd ordered it locally weeks prior and it was strangely delayed and in limbo until this very moment... so to celebrate the completion of these two epic projects (the hemp vestment and hemp hoody), saturday was spent resting, reading this gem and playing flute... unwinding from one major big wave of growth, learning and change
"life, death, preservation, loss, failure, success, poverty, riches, worthiness, unworthiness, slander, fame, hunger, thirst, cold, heat - these are the alternations of the world, the workings of fate. day and night they change place before us and wisdom cannot spy out their source. therefore they should not be enough to destroy your harmony, they should not be allowed to enter the storehouse of spirit. if you can harmonize and delight in them, master them and never be at a loss for joy, if you can do this day and night without break and make it spring with everything, mingling with all and creating the moment within your own mind - this is what i call being whole in power" - chuang tzu
6.14 hempen taoist vestment
completing the second most complex garment i ever made - a close tie to the woodland mage (in taurus), as this one required a lot of hand stitching and unique features like learning to make chinese knot buttons and a tripartite collar... i cried when it was finished, as it took 9 months to birth it due to all kinds of unanticipated twists and turns along the path... the special request of a taoist priest, who had been searching for a vestment made of hemp to teach in... more on this project is also coming soon to the art section so stay tuned!
5.25.2019 absolute spiritual humility
eleven days of transformation..... standing upon the stump of the last ash in this cycle of surrender to the flow, after its magnificently precise felling by the highly attuned mr. black and the following clean up by us 3 care takers of this land... trimming the whole top of the tree and all the other debris and distributing it in the woods... interacting at this level with the environment is an education / inspiration like no other and the gratitude is deep as these roots for the opportunity to grow along side such truly great teachers
