the woodland mage
after a very cool trade with this very cool guy - exchanging a custom meta forest hoody for a hand made eastern red cedar flute, a sequel pretty much immediately followed... he'd drawn out this design, ideally suited to his style and needs, and was interested in having it actually made... so a second swap proceeded - one jedi / peaceful warrior / mage inspired hoody for one hand made black walnut drone flute (with a magnetic wind block!)
as is often the case, this project proved much more challenging than i'd imagined - trying things i'd never done before and installing a zipper which is a trip in itself... i had some super nice thick and heavy 100% hemp linen on hand, and got some heavier fleece for the inside layer to make it extra warm... the ideal was for snaps on the sleeves to keep them snug, and this was a new frontier, which worked out pretty cool in the end... it was also equipped with a solid riri zipper with a slick circular ring pull, fleece lined side pockets, a roomy hood, a little stash pocket on the inside and a hand painted tag
dyed in two colors - teal blue for the base, with sage green on the banding, this piece was a bit more like a painting to create
